Comprehensive Plan

Plan Goals Open Houses: Three open houses will occur in the three planning areas. These events will be two-hour meetings with a brief presentation followed by an opportunity for you to comment on the draft Comprehensive Plan Goals. These are drop -in events unless you want to hear the presentation.

Implementation Strategy Sessions: Once the goals are clarified, one strategy forum will be held for each of the six planning elements to brainstorm possible strategies to achieve the goals.

Draft Comprehensive Plan Workshop: One workshop will be held to discuss and evaluate the draft comprehensive plan and to fine-tune the strategies. This workshop will be an interactive event where participants will work with a facilitator and rotate through the plan elements.

Draft Comprehensive Plan Open Houses: Three open houses will occur in the three comprehensive planning areas. Final Comprehensive Plan Presentations: the Comprehensive Plan will be presented at public meetings to the Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners for their concurrence on the vision, goals and implementation strategies.
