Visioning Workshops: Countywide Visioning Workshops will be held to discuss what we treasure, what our concerns are, what we want to change, and where we want to be in 20 years. This workshop is the best opportunity to discuss the future of your community with your neighbors.

Visioning Open Houses: Drop-in to let us know what you treasure, what your concerns are, what you want to change, and what you want La Plata to be like in 20 years.

Visioning Meetings-In-A-Box: To ensuring extraordinary public involvement, “Vision-Meetings-In-A-Box” will be created that provide all the tools any group (such as a homeowners’ association or organization) will need to conduct a vision discussion on their own and submit their findings. Contact Jason Meininger, Project Manager, at meiningerjl@co.laplata.co.us about hosting one of these meetings.

Visioning Postcard and Online Survey: If you cannot attend a meeting, we still want to hear from you. You can also pick up a “postcard” at local businesses and drop it in a drop box, or you can respond online.

Draft Vision Statements Open Houses: The vision open houses will occur in three planning areas. These events will be two-hour meetings with a brief presentation followed by an opportunity for you to comment on the draft vision statement. These are drop -in events unless you want to hear the presentation.
