Do you care about your community and the future of La Plata County?  Then get involved in the comprehensive plan update!  The public involvement is designed to allow you to participate at many different levels. 

WHAT CAN YOU DO RIGHT NOW?

The Draft Comprehensive Plan is available for review!

Attend the August Public Meetings to discuss issues, solutions, and develop recommendations for the plan.

Attend the Community Education Forums to learn about implementation tools!

HOW ELSE CAN YOU HELP?

You can also:

• Participate in a Focus Group for defined issues such as agriculture, economy, natural resources, etc. 
• Attend Community Education Forums to learn more about issues and potential solutions.
• Look for our Comp Plan Kiosks at community events and locations around the county.  Stop by our table, talk to us, and pick up the latest information.
• Organize your own neighborhood to provide input and feedback on plan drafts.  We will give you all the supplies you need to run your own meeting.  Contact us for a Meeting in a Box.
• Send us your thoughts via email or a letter. 
• Keep up with us on Facebook or through the email distribution list.
• Help us get others involved by forwarding email updates to your network.
• Volunteer to help us with: publicity and outreach, organizing community education forums, involving youth, or facilitation.
